Fire is dangerous, treat it with the
respect it deserves.
Stack your dry timber in a triangular shape (tipi) at the rear of the firebox.
Allow the pumice panels and flue to heat up slowly to create optimum draw.
Build your fire slowly using the tipi method at all times.
Only use dry, well-seasoned firewood.
Try to use smaller pieces of timber (75mm square) as they burn hotter - large pieces burn colder and create more smoke.
Remember wind is the outdoor fire’s enemy, swirling gusts and downdrafts will affect all outdoor fires, causing smoke and ash to spill from the front of the fire.
Do not overload the firebox.
Never leave an outdoor fire unattended, a single spark can cause a forest fire.
